Communication on labelling of tyres with respect to fuel efficiency

COMMUNICATION FROM THE COMMISSION TO THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT pursuant to the second subparagraph of Article 251 (2) of the EC Treaty concerning the common position of the Council on the adoption of an amended proposal for a Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council on labelling of tyres with respect to fuel efficiency and other essential parameters was published on 23 November 2009.

The European Commission has confirmed their commitment to establish an ec.europa webpage on tyre labelling, including a fuel savings calculator, by 2012.

The Regulation still needs to be published in the Official Journal of the European Union.
